Potty Training Cont'

Day 2 & 3

So I know you're all dying for an update. Well Day 2 went surprisingly well. Olivia was amazing and stayed dried all day. She didn't have any accidents and went three times in the potty. I was sure I had the most amazing kid. Then came Day 3. It wasn't has bad as Day 1 but not as good as Day 2. We had one accident and she went in the potty 1 time. Olivia wears diapers at night and when she takes naps. She also wears a diaper when we go out. I think she's getting really good at holding it. She's still doing great and we're so proud of our little trooper. We always get so excited when she goes in the potty. We give high fives and do the potty dance. She loves it.

Potty Training

DAY 1

So I decided it was time, time to stop buying and changing two sets of diapers. Therefore POTTY TRAINING has begun. Now Olivia has been to the toilet a few times and she knows what goes on it there but that didn't stop her from wreaking havoc all over the house today. In case you don't know Olivia is extremely stubborn and already opinionated. She usually does things on her own time table but Mom is fed up with changing diapers every hour. So this morning we had a long talk about going "pee pee" on the potty and getting to wear big girl panties (she even got the ones with Ariel and Tinkerbell on them). Well Accident 1 happened right before breakfast, Accident 2 happened during breakfast, and Accident 3 happened after breakfast. Anyways Olivia went through 5 pairs of panties and I mopped my kitchen three times (gross I know. Am I sharing to many details?) I was just about to give up when nap time finally came around. She went back into a diaper and I got a two hour break. After nap time we went back to the panties and she actually stayed dried for about two and half hours. However we spent those two and half hours sitting right by the potty. Anyways to make a long story short Olivia finally made it to the potty. Mom and Dad made a big deal about it and she was very excited. For the next hour she kept saying "I need go pee" and she would run to the potty. Now nothing actually came out but she was getting the idea. She stayed dry after that through dinner and up until bath time. We are very proud of our big little girl. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Big Sister Blues

So I just had to write about the sweetest moment ever...The other night after Sophie had gone to bed Livie and Ray were watching tv and I was on the computer. The commercial about Intermountian Health Care had just come on. It's the one where the lady is walking around with her baby and then she puts her down in the bassinet. She then gets on the computer and starts to look up info about health insurance. Anyways when the lady put the baby down during the commercial Ray had said "Oh that baby looks like Sophie". About 30 seconds later we hear this uncontrollable sobbing. It was Livie and she was looking around the house. She had burst out in tears and was shouting out Sophie's name. She thought the lady in the tv had taken Sophie away. Ray had to take Livie upstairs and show her that Sophie was sleeping in her bed. It was the sweetest thing and it made me realize Livie knows she's a big sister and she loves Sophie so much. Just thought I would share.

Meet Mr. Hong Kong

So crazy little thing happened this weekend - Ray's cousin won Mr. Hong Kong. It's a pretty big deal back in Hong Kong. Ray's cousin is Micheal Tsu and he's from a little town in Nevada called Elko. Don't be shocked if you've never heard of it, I hadn't either. He tried out in LA and made the cuts. He's been back in Hong Kong for the last few months and last night we saw the pageant. I don't understand much Chinese but I could tell the girls loved him. He's the sweetest guy and we are all so proud of him. Here's a picture of him posing with his sister and Sophie.
