Stairway to ?

Sophie had a run in with the garage stairs and as you can see the stairs won. This is actually improvement. I took these pictures three days after she fell. She's definitely the dare devil in the family. She may be small but she's pretty fierce.

Happy Birthday to Olivia

This is long overdue and about 15 days late. On May 10th we celebrated Olivia's 3rd birthday and Mother's Day. Olivia's birthday will always fall around or on Mother's Day and it really is the best gift I could ask for.
Some things about Olivia:
Weight: 29lbs
Height: Short, the doctor says she's on her way to being about 5'3
Favorite Sentences: Oh, that's so cute. She's so nice. I want to, I want to.
Favorite Chinese Sentences: Jo Sun (good morning). Sec fa na (time for dinner).
Favorite Thing to do: Spend time with Ray's mom and dad.
Favorite Treat: Dum Dum lollipops. Ray made the mistake of buying her a blow pop one time and she complained it was to big.
Olivia loves to mother other children and can be very bossy. She can also be sweet and loves to take care of her baby sister. She's sassy but we wouldn't have her any other way.

Chi Pow

Now let me preface this post by saying I have no idea how Chinese words are actually spelled. Ray will tell me the Chinese word for something and then I use my phonics skills to spell out the word. This word Chi Pow is Chinese for a certain kind of dress. On Saturday Ray's cousin got married and we girls decided to wear Chi Pows. Olivia loved dressing up. She walked around all night telling everyone how pretty her dress was. I'm pretty sure the wedding photographer took more pictures of her than the bride and groom. Sophie enjoyed wearing her dress also. Me, I felt a little foolish at first considering I'm not Chinese but Ray's family took it as a sign of respect. It was a surprise for Daddy. He came home from work to get ready for the wedding and he found us all waiting in our Chi Pow's. He loved it and I love being apart of a family who cherishes their culture and traditions.
