Giving Thanks

I am THANKFUL...for such a wonderful and beautiful family, a husband who works hard to support our family, two healthy and spirited daughters, for my parents and Ray's parents, a career I love, teaching young children, the gospel, temples, my church calling as a primary teacher, a home to live in, a car to drive, my health, good friends, and most of all food. I put off going to the orthodonist this week (he wanted to put on my bottom braces) so that I could enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. I love food. I think it's wonderful and delicious and I can't get enough of it. I started this Thanksgiving off with a boot camp workout at the gym and then a 5K with some friends so that I wouldn't feel guilty about the all the wonderful food I ate. And boy did I eat...two plates filled with turkey, stuffing and potatoes, two helpings of ham, lots of veggies and dip, and three different kinds of pie with ice cream...boo yah!

Gobble, Gobble

Today I trotted with the turkeys (not literally) in the annual Sandy 5K Turkey Trot. It was a beautiful and warm today, perfect for a run. I shaved 30 seconds off my mile and came in 6th in my age category for women. I was pretty proud of myself. Next on my list is the Santa Claus 5K run in Provo. In this race you have to dress as Santa, you get a Santa hat, beard, and red shirt. HILARIOUS...I'm totally doing it. Anyone want to join?
