This is Olivia's second Halloween however, during her first she was only about 5 months old and couldn't really enjoy it. This year was a blast. She was a bumblebee. While wearing her costume she would run around in circles like she was flying through the air. The fun started this year with a trip to the pumpkin patch. When we first arrived at the farm Olivia noticed the bounce house. She loves to jump and this was just the place for her. However you have to be 40 inches tall to jump in the bounce house, sorry sweetie. Many tears were shed over the bounce house but she quickly cheered up when she saw the slides. With a little help from grandma and grandpa she was able to slide down many times. We were also able to go on a bumpy ride on the cow train. Our cow's name was Gertie and she was just big enough for the two of us. And as we were leaving the pumpkin patch Olivia got to choose a pumpkin just her size.
Halloween night was filled with lots of tricks and treats. After Olivia was all bundled up in her bumblebee costume we were off for some trick or treating. It took Olivia about four houses before she really understood what to do. Before that when I would knock on the door Olivia would take a piece of candy out of her pumpkin and try and give it to the other person. She loves to share. When we were all done trick or treating we came home and all Olivia wanted to do was eat her candy. She wasn't a happy camper when I wouldn't let her eat any. Olivia's favorite part of Halloween was passing out candy. Everytime the doorbell would ring she would scream with joy and run towards the door. She's such a great helper. She's going to be a great big sister.
