So I've gotten lots of comments about Sophie's middle name. Here's the deal - In Ray's family, everyone has an English name and a Chinese name. Olivia's Chinese name is Wing Yee. It means that she will always be able to handle whatever comes her way - she will be able to adapt. Same sex siblings have part of the same Chinese name. Sophie and Olivia share the Wing part. Sophie's Chinese name is Wing Chang. It means she will always be bright and outstanding. It's also tradition for the grandparents to give the grandchild their Chinese name. So Ray's parents always have dibs on our children's middle names. Alot goes into giving a child their Chinese name. Ray's parents debated about this name for months. I know it's kind of different but it's part of what makes Sophie and Olivia special.

I love that their middle names have so much significance. That will mean so much to them as they grow up. We tried to pick a meaningful middle name for Carter too! Thanks for coming to visit, I had so much fun.
