Giving Thanks
This is a week late but better late than never. This year while feasting on Thanksgiving dinner our family decided to each say something they were thankful for. Ray of course was thankful for the food and Ray's dad was thankful he didn't have to make the food. The rest of us were thankful for family and the opportunity to spend this time together. When it came time for Olivia to express her gratitude she looked up at all of us and said "I'm thankful for Jesus, Amen". It was the sweetest moment and it made me feel like a proud mama. I too am thankful for Jesus. I am thankful for the restored gospel and for the Book of Mormon. I am thankful for temples and temple work. I am thankful for the Spirit that testifies to me of the truthfulness of the gospel and of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am thankful for my family, my wonderful husband, and my two beautiful daughters. I am thankful for the blessings that we have enjoyed this year. The holidays are wonderful time for a list of endless reasons but most of all because we have the opportunity to give thanks and serve one another. I most thankful for my little girl who reminded me of what the holidays are truly about.
