Someday...

Someday I'm going to be better about updating my blog because I really do have a lot to say and share. Someday our life won't be so busy and hectic. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I've been watching our life slowly spiral out of control and straight into chaos. On Tuesdays Livie has dancing and tumbling. On Monday and Wednesday Livie and Sophie have preschool. I teach Monday through Friday in the afternoons. We have play dates and parties with neighborhood kids. On the first Tuesday of the month I have book club and on the third Tuesday of the month I play Bunco with some of the neighborhood ladies. Not to mention I run at least 3 days a week and workout at the gym 4-5 days a week. And my wonderful husband and sweet Daddy to our girls works at least 60 hours a week if not more. Saturdays are no better. I look forward to the weekend because I naively think oh...a chance to rest. But there's always a party, family function, or SOMETHING to do other than stay home and veg. The month of February has been especially hard. It's the shortest month of the year but it always feels like the longest. I can honestly say I'm relieved it's finally over. We've had Valentine's parties (3 to be exact), Chinese New Year, Sophie's 2nd birthday (which I'll post more about later), and more, more, more. In the midst of all this chaos I've been preparing all month for parent teacher conferences this week. I'm slowly pulling myself and home back together. After Wednesday I'm taking a much needed break and spending some quality time with my husband (who's on vacation all week), my girls, and my parents who are visiting from California. This is our life. It's crazy and hectic and "someday" is not getting any closer. Fortunately I've been blessed with impressive multitasking skills and a highly adaptive family.

Sometimes you just have to say "No"

Seriously, I'm exhausted just reading that. You need to cut a thing or two out. I know you love being busy but that's insane. Breathe. Love ya.

Trust me for the last almost 12 years "someday" hasn't come... I agree with Barbara - sometimes you just gotta say NO! =)
