Random Ramblings

This week was the first official week of kindergarten. It was fabulous. Except I had one little boy who cried for 45 minutes the first day. So sad!

Olivia started preschool. She's been in preschool for the last two years but this is pre K preschool. She was so excited and such a big girl. I can't believe I have a child one year away from kindergarten. Still haven't decided if I will be her teacher or not. I am currently weighing the pro's and con's.

On Monday Ray took our family to a Bee's game (the local minor league baseball team). Not a big baseball fan but really who can turn down suite tickets. These tickets included box seats, dinner, and unlimited popcorn and drinks. The girls had fun. Coincidentally they were playing the Fresno Grizzles.

I started my second week of my 1/2 marathon training plan. Only 8 more weeks before I'm running down Provo Canyon in a Halloween costume. Not sure what I will be dressing up as. Any suggestions?

Sophie has given a whole new meaning to the terrible two's. We were stuck in traffic Tuesday morning after a car and semi crashed, sending the car flying off the interstate and into local traffic. It took us 2 hours to drive 30 miles and Sophie screamed, kicked, and cried the entire time. Over what you ask? A bag of raisins and nuts. Seriously.

On a more cheerful note - Mockingjay (the 3rd book in the Hunger Games series) arrived yesterday. I am very excited to start reading.

I also can't wait for Fall. I love the colors, the smells, the fun. It's my favorite season. The girls and I have created so many wonderful traditions. The first year I took Olivia to the Scarecrow festival I was pregnant with Sophie and we have gone each year since.

I want to run all those fun runs with you. You need to be my neighbor. Come to Texas! Miss you.
