Today is your birthday. You turned 5 which I think is a pretty big deal. I woke up extra early this morning to wrap your birthday present. It was a photo book (since I'm not so great at scrap booking) of the first five years of your life. I woke you up singing 'Happy Birthday' and then we snuggled in your bed and looked through your book. You were so excited, you loved all the pictures and stories about you as a baby. You carried that photo book with you all day and showed everyone.
I want you to know on this day just how special you are, how much I love you, and how grateful I am to be your mom. Every few years your birthday falls on Mother's Day and I am reminded that you are the greatest gift I could have ever received.
