I'm a snob! A spaghetti snob that is. I absolutely refuse to eat spaghetti that has been made with sauce from a jar. The father-in-law makes this most fantastically tasting spaghetti with fresh tomatoes.
It's my most favorite thing to eat. I wish I could share but I asked him for the recipe and his response was, "I don't have one. I make it different every time." All I know is he squeezes the tomatoes and then adds the tomato skins to the sauce. He lets it simmer for about an hour.
The Mr. tells the father-in-law that he spoils me. We went to Olive Garden last week for a birthday celebration. I foolishly ordered a pasta dish with marinara sauce. I took a few bites and couldn't eat anymore. I felt like I was eating Ragu sauce. I picked off everyone's plate to fulfill my appetite. I've learned my lesson.
