Olivia starts school on September 6th. I am anxiously awaiting the day and Olivia is thrilled. She can't wait to start at the "big" girl school. I am excited for all the new things she is going to learn. She is so bright and "ready" for kindergarten. As you may or may not know I am a kindergarten teacher. I foolishly considered teaching her but I quickly got over that idea. I want her to have a positive experience in her first year of school. I want her to gain independence and not be able to depend on me during the school day. I decided it was in her best interest and mine to not be her teacher or to have her go to the school I teach in. She is well known throughout the school. I've been teaching there since she was 8 weeks old. The teachers and staff have watched her grow up over the years. They like me cannot believe it's time already to send her off to school. I'm not an overly emotional mother but I predict I will cry many tears. I will be posting pictures of her first day with these super cute signs I found here.
Of course Olivia's will say kindergarten!
