Pumpkins, Pumpkins, and more Pumpkins
Fall is officially here and I can't be more excited. I love everything about this season but most of all I love pumpkins. I love pumpkin pie, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin bread. If it's got pumpkin in it, I'll eat it. Fall has always been a special season for me. It was the season Ray proposed and a year later it was the season we got married in. At our reception we actually had mini pumpkin pies. They were so yummy and adorable. Seven years ago Ray wrapped my beautiful engagement ring in plastic wrap and stuck it in a pumpkin. I was supposed to find it while carving my pumpkin. Of course things didn't go according to plan. They never do with Ray and I. I was in a bad mood and didn't want to carve pumpkins. When Ray tried to pick out a pumpkin for me to carve I told him I could get my own. While carving my pumpkin I threw out my ring with the seeds. Luckily friends we were with noticed and threw the ring back in my pumpkin while I wasn't looking. This didn't happen the second time I threw it out. Then my pumpkin was completely clean and Ray was panicked. Our friends decided to take the box of pumpkin grossness and look for pumpkin seeds. Of course really they were looking for my engagement ring. I had no idea what was going on and Ray left to get dinner because he couldn't handle the stress. Two hours later Ray proposed with a plate of cooked pumpkin seeds and an engagement ring. He actually forgot to ask, "Will you marry me?" I had to remind him of that part. Not as romantic as he had planned but a great story none the less. I said yes and on November 13th we are going to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Like I said I love Fall and pumpkins.
